Adnan Sundra & Low welcomes Yik Shien Yee back as Partner in Banking & Finance Practice
The leading full-service law firm based in Kuala Lumpur, Adnan Sundra & Low, has announced that Yik Shien Yee has rejoined the firm as a Partner in its Banking & Finance Practice Group, strengthening its capabilities in banking, finance, and capital markets.
Yik Shien Yee was previously a Partner at the firm until September 8, 2023. Her return is expected to further enhance the firm’s Banking & Finance and Capital Markets practices, particularly across conventional and Islamic finance transactions.
She specialises in banking and finance and capital markets, advising local and foreign financial institutions and borrowers on bilateral and syndicated financing transactions, including Islamic structures. Her expertise spans debt and equity capital markets, covering a broad range of conventional and Islamic instruments such as regulatory capital instruments, convertible bonds, perpetual bonds, retail bonds, eurobonds, rights issues, and the establishment and issuance of REIT units.
During her time away from the firm, Yik Shien Yee served as a Partner at Zi Li & Partners, a boutique Malaysian law firm, where she advised on commercial matters including banking and finance, capital markets, M&A, real estate, and startup and venture capital transactions.
Yik Shien Yee holds a Bachelor of Laws from the The University of Manchester and completed the Bar Professional Training Course at the College of Law, United Kingdom.
Her reappointment underscores Adnan Sundra & Low’s continued commitment to strengthening its bench in high-value financing and capital markets transactions, positioning the firm to better serve both domestic and cross-border clients in Malaysia’s evolving financial landscape.
