Legasis Partners partner Gautam Bhatikar, who had joined in July 2019, has moved to Phoenix Legal as a partner, according to a press release from the firm yesterday, setting up a maritime and shipping practice in Mumbai.
He has joined the firm on 2 November with a team of five lawyers – counsel Zoeb Cutlerywala, senior associates Pinak Bhagwat and Vikram Kamath, and associate Farhad Dalal.

Gautam is a maritime & shipping, insurance specialist and his focus areas include commercial disputes and complex international commercial arbitrations in India, Singapore and UK.
He is also involved in high-stakes and complex cross border litigation and arbitration in different practice areas including projects and infrastructure, energy and international trade.
