School of Law, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) is organising the 8th SRM National Tamil Moot Court Competition, 2026 from 9th to 11th October 2026 at its Kattankulathur campus. Law students pursuing three-year or five-year LL.B. programmes are eligible to participate. The competition will be conducted entirely in Tamil, and the last date for registration is 5th October 2026.

About the 8th SRM National Tamil Moot Court Competition, 2026
The 8th SRM National Tamil Moot Court Competition, 2026 will be conducted from 9th to 11th October 2026 at the School of Law, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur.
The competition is a unique national-level initiative dedicated to promoting legal advocacy, research and courtroom skills in Tamil. Tamil is the official language of the competition, and all pleadings and oral submissions shall be made in Tamil.
Law students from institutions across India are invited to participate in the competition.
Eligibility
Students pursuing either a 3-year LL.B. programme or a 5-year integrated LL.B. programme are eligible to participate.
- Medium of the Competition: Tamil
- Maximum Teams: Two teams per college/university
- Team Composition: 2 Student Advocates + 1 Researcher

The registration fee for the competition is ₹3,000/- (Rupees Three Thousand only) per team.
The registration fee must be paid only through NEFT. The transaction receipt must be uploaded in the Google Form along with the required registration documents.

How to Register?
Interested and eligible teams are required to complete the registration process through the prescribed Google Form. The registration fee of ₹3,000/- per team must be paid through NEFT, and the transaction receipt must be uploaded along with the registration details.
Teams must complete their registration on or before 5 October 2026 at 05.00 P.M.
