Eligibility Criteria
- A Master’s degree in Law (LL.M.) from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale).
- Ph.D. in Law or allied subjects in relation to Law.
- The required qualifications shall be as per UGC/BCI guidelines.
Work Experience
- Teaching/research experience of minimum 10 years; or
- Teaching and industry experience of 10 years or more.
- The candidate must have a good academic record, with a minimum score as per the stipulated standards of the Bar Council of India (BCI).
- The candidate must have the required minimum research score of 75.
- The candidate must have at least 7 publications in SCOPUS / WoS / Peer Reviewed / UGC Listed Journals, etc.
- In case of industry experience, such experience shall be directly related to Law.
Proof for Faculty Working in Affiliated Colleges
Candidates who are working in affiliated colleges shall produce proof of being a recognized faculty.
Nature of Work
The Associate Professor (Law) is expected to possess a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to developing and delivering high-quality content for assigned courses. The individual should also demonstrate readiness to assume responsibility and embrace challenging opportunities while leveraging their knowledge and skills.
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars on assigned legal subjects, ensuring effective and engaging instruction.
- Develop, update, and implement course content and syllabi to reflect current legal trends and standards.
- Conduct scholarly research in various areas of law and contribute to academic publications.
- Provide mentorship and academic counselling to students, guiding them through their academic and career development.
- Supervise student projects, internships, and moot court activities, ensuring practical application of legal principles.
- Design and conduct student assessments, providing constructive feedback on their progress and performance.
- Participate in departmental meetings and academic committees and contribute to the development of institutional policies and programs.
