Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess a Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Post Graduate Degree in Law from Bar Council of India recognised Colleges/Universities/Institutions.
Work Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience.
The prescribed experience may be in either of the following capacities:
- Advocate/Legal Consultant/Legal Assistant/Associate in an Advocates’ or Solicitors’ Office or Law Firm, after being enrolled with the Bar Council; or
- Law Officer in the Legal Department of a bank/financial institution/statutory corporation/company/State/Central Government.
Post-qualification experience will be reckoned from the date of passing the examination, i.e. issuance of Degree or issuance of Mark Sheet.
Candidates must possess the prescribed essential qualification and experience as on the cut-off date of 15 September 2026.
Bar Council Registration Requirement
Candidates relying upon experience as an Advocate/Legal Consultant/Legal Assistant/Associate must have acquired such experience after being enrolled with the Bar Council.
Proof of Work Experience
In the case of candidates relying upon experience as an Advocate/Legal Consultant/Legal Assistant/Associate, the following documents must be submitted along with the application:
- A copy of the Bar Council Registration/Enrollment Certificate; and
- A certificate from the Bar Association where the candidate is a member; or
- A certificate issued by the Presiding Officer of a Court before which the candidate has practised for the requisite period.
The experience certificate should be issued by the employer in support of the experience claimed and should clearly specify the date of joining and relieving, in accordance with the experience details furnished in the application form.
Computer Knowledge
Computer knowledge is essential for the post.
Age Limit
- The upper age limit for the post of Officer – Legal is 35 years.
- The cut-off date for determining age and experience is 15 September 2026.
The advertisement provides the following age relaxations, subject to the prescribed conditions:
- 5 years for SC/ST candidates against reserved positions.
- 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates against reserved positions.
- 5 years for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), over and above the relaxation admissible to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC.
- 5 years for candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
- Relaxation as per rules for Ex-servicemen/Commissioned Officers/ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years of Defence service and have been released on completion of assignment.
Selection Process
- Eligible shortlisted candidates will be called for an Interview.
- If required, a Written Test/Group Discussion may be conducted for shortlisted candidates before the interview.
- Candidates shortlisted after the interview will be required to undergo a Medical Examination.
- Candidates will also be required to undergo Document Verification.
Candidates shortlisted for interview must produce the original documents in support of meeting the prescribed eligibility conditions. Candidates failing to produce the required documents will not be permitted to appear for the interview.
Candidates called for interview will be eligible for sleeper class train fare for the shortest route, provided the distance travelled is more than 50 km, subject to the conditions prescribed in the advertisement.
In case a large number of applications are received against a post, shortlisting for interview may be based on relevant experience, current CTC/monthly pay and higher qualification, based on the documents enclosed with the application.
Other things being equal, eligible candidates having an additional relevant professional qualification and added experience in the cement industry may be given preference.
Nature of Engagement
The appointment is purely on a Fixed Term Contract and is not permanent in nature. The engagement will not entitle a candidate to claim regular/permanent employment in the company. On completion of the tenure, the incumbent will stand relieved automatically.
The initial tenure will be for 1 year, which may be extended for another 3 years based on the performance of the incumbent. The contractual engagement may be extended up to a maximum period of 4 years, after which it will stand terminated automatically.
The fixed-term contract can be terminated by either side by giving one month’s notice/contractual fee in lieu of the notice period.
Salary
The selected candidate will receive a consolidated contractual fee of ₹40,000 per month.
- Posting in Units: Accommodation will be provided as per entitlement, subject to availability of quarters.
- Posting in Corporate Office/Regional Office/Zonal Office: ₹10,000 will be provided for accommodation.
- On successful completion of 1 year, candidates will be eligible for an annual increment in tune of 5%.
Other Benefits
- Medical Facilities: IPD medical facility for self only, as per the rules of CCI.
- Leave: 20 days per year, which are non-encashable; however, the same may be accumulated in case of extension of the contract by CCI.
- Provident Fund: As per EPF Act.
- Travelling Allowance: Governed by the TA Rules of the Corporation applicable to E-1 level employees.
- Maternity Leave: As per Government of India Rules.
Place of Posting
Selected candidates can be posted at any Unit/Office of CCI.
Application Fee
- Candidates belonging to the UR/OBC/EWS categories are required to pay a non-refundable Registration/Application Fee of ₹100 (Rupees One Hundred Only) through a Demand Draft in favour of Cement Corporation of India Limited, payable at New Delhi.
- The Demand Draft must be enclosed with the other prescribed documents. Applications without the Demand Draft, where applicable, will be summarily rejected.
- SC/ST/PWD/Female candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.
- The application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
