Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Ltd. (APCOB), Vijayawada, has invited applications for engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026–27. For law graduates, 1 training seat has been earmarked under the Legal specialization. The apprenticeship is for a period of one year and carries a monthly stipend of ₹15,000.

The Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Ltd. (APCOB) is a State Cooperative Bank headquartered at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The Bank has invited applications from suitable candidates for engagement as Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and its Apprenticeship Policy.
Selected candidates may be engaged at the branches or Head Office of the Bank in the State of Andhra Pradesh, at the discretion of APCOB.
About the Legal Apprentice Position
APCOB has notified 1 apprenticeship training seat under the Legal specialization.
The engagement is as an Apprentice and is not employment in the Bank. Candidates engaged as Apprentices will not be treated as employees of APCOB and will not be entitled to benefits available to regular employees of the Bank.
Number of Legal Apprentice Seats
Legal: 1 Training Seat.
Eligibility
Candidates applying under the Legal specialization must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law/LLB or its equivalent from a recognised University/Institute approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
Candidates must have completed their graduation and possess the relevant passing certificate.
The candidate should also be proficient in Telugu and English languages, including reading and writing.
Age Limit
Candidates must be a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 28 years as on August 1, 2026.
Accordingly, candidates must have been born not earlier than August 1, 1998 and not later than August 1, 2004, both dates inclusive.
All eligibility conditions, including age and educational qualification, will be calculated as on August 1, 2026.
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years
- Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 10 years
Period of Apprenticeship
The duration of apprenticeship training is one year.
Place of Training
On-the-job training will be provided at selected branches or the Head Office of APCOB in accordance with the prescribed course/curriculum.
The Bank reserves the right to allot candidates to any Branch or Head Office in the State of Andhra Pradesh depending upon its requirements.
Stipend
- Selected Apprentices will receive a total stipend of ₹15,000 per month.
- Of this amount, the maximum Bank component is ₹10,500 and the maximum Government component is ₹4,500. The Government’s share will be paid directly to the Apprentice through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), as applicable.
- Apprentices will not be eligible for any other allowances or benefits.
Local Language Requirement
Candidates who produce their Class 10 or Class 12 marksheet/certificate showing that they studied the specified local language will not be required to undergo the local language test.
Other candidates will have to undergo a test of the local language as part of the selection process at the stage of Document Verification. Candidates who fail to qualify the test will not be engaged as Apprentices.
Other Eligibility Conditions
A candidate should not have undergone apprenticeship training in any other organisation, terminated apprenticeship midway, or be pursuing apprenticeship training in another Bank, organisation, company or firm under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
Candidates who have training or job experience of one year or more after completion of their educational qualification will not be eligible for engagement as Apprentices.
Selection Process
Applications received within the prescribed period will be scrutinised by a Committee appointed by APCOB.
A merit list will be prepared in descending order on the basis of marks/percentage obtained in SSC, Class 12 (HSC/10+2) and Graduation.
The maximum weightage is 30 marks, comprising:
- SSC: 10 marks
- 10+2/Intermediate: 10 marks
- Graduation: 10 marks
Where more than one candidate has the same percentage, candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order.
Candidates selected as per the merit list will be called for Document Verification at the APCOB Head Office in Vijayawada.
How to Apply?
- Eligible candidates must first register on the NATS 2.0 Apprenticeship Portal at www.nats.education.gov.in.
- Only candidates whose profiles are 100% complete on the apprenticeship portal are eligible to apply.
- Candidates should make a note of the Enrolment ID generated on the NATS 2.0 Portal for future correspondence.
- After completing registration, candidates are required to apply online through the official APCOB website at www.apcob.bank.in.
- No other mode of application will be accepted.

Important Note
Completion of apprenticeship training does not confer any right to regular employment with APCOB. It is not obligatory for the Bank to offer employment to an Apprentice after completion of the training period.
No transport, hostel or other residential accommodation will be provided by the Bank during the apprenticeship period.
