Salary
Professor of Law: Rs. 1,44,200 – Rs. 2,18,200, Academic Level 14A.
Associate Professor of Law: Rs. 1,31,400 – Rs. 2,17,100, Academic Level 13A.
Assistant Professor of Sociology: Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 1,82,400, Academic Level 10.
Eligibility Criteria
Professor of Law: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Law and/or concerned/allied/relevant discipline, at least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, a total research score of 120, and at least 10 years of teaching/research/professional experience as specified in the official notification.
Associate Professor of Law: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Law and/or concerned/allied/relevant discipline, a Master’s Degree in Law with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade, at least 8 years of teaching/research experience, 7 publications, and a total research score of 75.
Assistant Professor of Sociology: Candidates must have a Master’s Degree with 55% marks or equivalent grade in the concerned/relevant/allied subject and must have cleared NET/SLET/SET, unless exempted as per applicable UGC Ph.D. regulations.
Desirable Specialisations
Professor of Law: Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Law, Competition Law, Trade Law, Banking Law, International Law, and other private law subjects.
Associate Professor of Law: Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Law, Competition Law, Trade Law, Banking Law, Arbitration, and other private law subjects.
Application Fee
- Rs. 1,500 for Unreserved, SC-outside Tripura, ST-outside Tripura and OBC candidates.
- Rs. 1,000 for SC-Tripura, ST-Tripura and PwD candidates.
Selection Process
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. The University may conduct a Written Test and/or Demo Lecture during the interview process. Academic score will be considered only for shortlisting, and final selection will be based on performance in the interview.
