Akshay Sachthey brings over a decade of experience in corporate and commercial law, with expertise spanning corporate advisory, mergers and acquisitions, inbound and outbound investments, commercial contracts, and regulatory advisory, with a strong focus on the insurance and reinsurance sector.
His sectoral experience includes insurance, healthcare, retail, fintech, real estate, gaming, and IT/ITeS. He has advised a wide range of Indian and international clients, including listed entities and Fortune 500 companies, on complex cross-border transactions, strategic investments, and regulatory matters.

Akshay Sachthey holds a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics and an LL.B. (Hons.) from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi.
Prior to rejoining Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM), Akshay Sachthey was associated with Pine Labs, where he served as Director – Legal and led legal for global mergers and acquisitions and strategic investments, as well as the prepaid solutions business across multiple jurisdictions. He was previously a Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., where he was part of the General Corporate Practice in Delhi. Prior to that, he spent over eight years at Phoenix Legal, New Delhi, during which he progressed from Associate to Senior Associate, Principal Associate, and Associate Partner.
