The leading Indian law firm, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has promoted George Kurian to Director in its Private Equity and M&A practice, recognising his extensive experience in corporate transactions and advisory matters.
George Kurian is a corporate lawyer with nearly a decade of post-qualification experience specialising in mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures, and general corporate advisory. Based in Bengaluru, he has advised on a wide range of complex transactions, including buyouts, restructuring, swaps, forward sales, and externalisation deals across multiple sectors.
He has been associated with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas for over five years and previously served as Principal Associate and Senior Associate within the firm. He also worked with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co as Senior Associate and earlier began his career at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as an Associate in Mumbai.
In addition to transactional work, George has advised financial and securities market intermediaries, including AIFs, FPIs, NBFCs, AMCs, and REITs, on regulatory and compliance-related matters.
