Mohana Nijhawan is a seasoned insolvency and disputes lawyer with over a decade of experience across insolvency and bankruptcy law, litigation, and complex dispute resolution. In her new role, she will support the firm’s growing Restructuring & Insolvency practice, advising on distressed asset matters, insolvency resolution processes, and contentious proceedings before various judicial forums.

Prior to rejoining Chandhiok & Mahajan, she was part of the Insolvency & Restructuring team at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co and the Disputes team at L&L Partners. Over the course of her career, she has advised banks, financial institutions, committees of creditors, resolution professionals, administrators, and resolution applicants on high-profile insolvency matters.

She has extensive experience appearing before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), the Supreme Court of India, and various High Courts, handling complex litigation strategy and insolvency resolution proceedings. Her notable matters include insolvency proceedings involving Reliance Group Companies, Aircel Cellular Limited, Future Retail Limited, Videocon Industries Limited, Aviom India Housing Finance Private Limited, and Jyoti Structures Limited.
