About the Job :
Mind Merchants is hiring for the position of Associate Manager – Legal for its Bengaluru office. The role involves handling commercial contracting, obligation management, and supporting business teams with legal guidance.
Eligibility :
(i) LL.B./LL.M. from a recognized Indian university
(ii) Minimum 5+ years of in-house legal experience (preferably in IT/Tech MNC)
(iii) Experience in contract lifecycle management (CLM)
(iv) Strong understanding of obligation management and/or post-contract obligations
(v) Exposure to international contracting
(vi) Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
(vii) Ability to work independently with ownership and urgency
Responsibility :
(i) Conduct in-depth legal research on statutes, case laws, and regulations
(ii) Analyze legal issues and provide strategic recommendations to senior management
(iii) Draft, review, and vet legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and policies
(iv) Managing contract lifecycle and maintaining documentation
(v) Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, MoUs, lease agreements, etc.)
(vi) Partnering with business, HR, finance, and operations teams to provide legal support
(vii) Tracking legal and regulatory developments and assessing business impact
(viii) Liaising with insurers, auditors, external counsel, and other stakeholders
