The Malaysian law firm Skrine has announced the appointment of Brenda Chan Qing Wen as Partner, effective 7 May 2026, further strengthening its Dispute Resolution practice.

Brenda Chan brings extensive experience in civil and commercial litigation, with a strong track record in banking and debt recovery matters, commercial and corporate disputes, as well as land and strata management disputes. She has acted for both institutional and individual clients across a wide range of contentious matters and is recognised for her practical and solution-oriented approach to dispute resolution.

In addition to her courtroom and advisory experience, Brenda Chan has developed a reputation for formulating tailored litigation strategies aligned with client objectives, handling matters ranging from chamber applications to full trials, including appearances at appellate levels.

Prior to joining Skrine, Brenda Chan held key leadership roles in dispute resolution practice groups, where she led complex litigation mandates and handled high-value commercial disputes, including construction, fraud-related investment claims, adjudication enforcement, and land acquisition matters.
