
Clifford Chance advised EBRD on its subscription to a MAD 1 billion bond issuance by the Casablanca-Settat region
The global law firm, Clifford Chance advised the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on its subscription to a MAD 1 billion bond issuance by the Casablanca-Settat region, April 27, 2026, Casablanca.
The transaction involves EBRD subscribing MAD 400 million to the issuance, which marks the first bond issuance by a Moroccan regional authority and the second municipal bond issuance in Morocco. The issuance was completed domestically in local currency and is intended to support the Casablanca-Settat region’s strategic investments under its 2022–2027 Regional Development Plan, while diversifying its funding sources through access to the debt capital market.
The completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
