Former Linklaters Counsel Soumya Bhagavatula Moves to Clifford Capital in Senior Legal Role

Clifford Capital has appointed Soumya Bhagavatula as Executive Director, Senior Legal Counsel.

She joins the firm from Linklaters Asia, where she served as Counsel, advising on complex cross-border financing transactions. Prior to that, she spent over five years at King & Spalding as a Senior Associate, focusing on private credit, special situations, and restructuring matters.

Soumya Bhagavatula brings over a decade of experience in banking and finance, having also worked with Clifford Chance LLP and Shook Lin & Bok in Singapore. Her expertise spans corporate banking, debt capital markets, structured finance, and high-value cross-border transactions.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from National University of Singapore and has also completed an exchange program at the University of Toronto.

On her appointment, Soumya Bhagavatula said,
