Nokia Elevates Emiliano Berti as Lead Counsel for Global MWR Division
Nokia has appointed Emiliano Berti as Lead Counsel with global responsibility for its Microwave Radio (MWR) division, effective April 1, 2026.
In his new role, Emiliano Berti will oversee legal matters for one of Nokia’s core business units, which focuses on delivering advanced wireless transport solutions supporting 5G and future 6G infrastructure across global markets.
Emiliano Berti is a seasoned in-house legal leader with over a decade of experience at Nokia. Prior to this appointment, he served as Head of Legal & Compliance for Europe, where he played a key role in navigating complex regulatory frameworks and compliance matters across the region. He also currently serves as President of the Board of Nokia Italy.
Before joining Nokia, he held senior legal roles at General Electric across Europe, including positions in Paris and broader EMEA operations. He began his legal career in private practice with Carnelutti Law Firm and McDermott Will & Emery.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Emiliano Berti has contributed to industry bodies, including serving on the Foreign Investors Advisory Board of Confindustria and the Legal Affairs Committee of Assomineraria.
He holds a law degree from Sapienza University of Rome and an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania.
His appointment reflects Nokia’s strategic focus on strengthening legal leadership within its high-growth connectivity and infrastructure business segments.
