Sheppard Mullin Strengthens Leadership with New Appointments Across Offices

The global law firm, Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP has announced several key leadership appointments across the firm, reinforcing its commitment to strong, collaborative management and continued growth. The changes reflect the firm’s strategic focus on strengthening leadership across practice groups, industry teams, and offices.

As part of the leadership transition, Stephen LaSala has been elected co-managing partner, succeeding MaryJeanette Dee, who is retiring after eight years in the role and a distinguished legal career spanning over three decades. LaSala will work alongside vice chair Kevin Cloutier and co-managing partner Linda Michaelson under Salvi’s leadership to guide the firm’s strategic direction, including oversight of recruitment, practice groups, and industry teams.

LaSala has spent the majority of his career at the firm as a corporate transactional attorney, advising on hundreds of M&A transactions across industries and jurisdictions. He has also held several leadership roles, including chairing the firm’s Compensation Committee and previously serving as co-leader of the Corporate practice group and office managing partner in San Diego (Del Mar).
