
Addleshaw Goddard appoints Shyamal Jeewoolall as Partner in Dubai
The major international law firm, Addleshaw Goddard has appointed Shyamal Jeewoolall as Partner in its Dubai office, marking a key milestone in the firm’s continued expansion in the Middle East. His arrival also coincides with the launch of the firm’s Aviation Finance practice in the region.
Jeewoolall brings extensive international experience in the aviation sector, advising airlines, aircraft lessors, banks, and financial institutions. He is also recognised for building and scaling high-performing legal teams across global markets, with a strong focus on structured finance and aviation-related transactions.
Experience
Shyamal Jeewoolall has joined Addleshaw Goddard (Middle East) LLP as Partner in April 2026. Prior to this, he spent over a decade at Holman Fenwick Willan LLP, where he worked on aviation and finance-related mandates across jurisdictions. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Associate at Norton Rose Group for nearly nine years, handling complex cross-border financing and transport sector matters. He began his legal career as a Trainee Solicitor at Dentons in London.
Education
Jeewoolall holds an LL.M. from the University of Exeter. His academic foundation, combined with extensive international legal practice, has shaped his expertise in aviation finance and structured transactions.
His appointment reflects Addleshaw Goddard’s strategic focus on strengthening sector-specific capabilities in the Middle East, particularly in aviation finance, as the firm continues to expand its regional footprint and client offerings.
