Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India) appoints Pankaj Jain as Director Legal

Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India) has appointed Pankaj Jain as Director Legal. He joins the organization after a long-standing tenure at AstraZeneca, where he served as Head of Legal.

Pankaj brings close to two decades of experience as an in-house counsel. He spent over 12 years at AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited, leading the legal function and advising on commercial litigation, patent disputes, real estate transactions, contract management, and licensing matters.

Prior to AstraZeneca, he served as Head Legal at Strides Arcolab Limited and Head Legal for Karnataka Circle at Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd. He also worked as Zonal Legal Manager at HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company Limited, where he handled legal and compliance functions for Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. His diverse experience spans litigation, regulatory advisory, and corporate legal management across sectors.

Pankaj holds a Master’s degree in Business Laws (MBL) from National Law School of India University (2003). His academic background has played a key role in shaping his strong foundation in corporate and commercial legal practice.
