Moët Hennessy appoints Raïssa-Maria Klimos as Legal Counsel

LVMH Moët Hennessy has welcomed Raïssa-Maria Klimos (Legal Counsel – Data-IT) to its team in Paris. She will be working at the intersection of data, IT, and innovation, strengthening the company’s legal capabilities in digital and technology matters.

Experience

Raïssa-Maria Klimos brings extensive experience in data privacy, AI governance, and digital regulatory frameworks. Prior to joining LVMH Moët Hennessy, she has been serving as a Legal and Policy Advisor with the Ministry of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Lebanon, where she advises on aligning national regulations with international digital law standards and drafts legislation on AI, cybersecurity, and data governance.

She has also worked as an Associate at Michel Klimos Law Firm, advising EMEA clients on data governance, AI compliance, and online consumer protection, along with drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology contracts.

Earlier, she was associated with AXA Group Operations as a Senior Legal Advisor, where she conducted global regulatory risk studies covering AI governance, cybersecurity, digital liability, and ESG reporting frameworks.

Her experience also includes working with Milliman as Data Privacy Counsel for EMEA & India, handling global compliance and drafting privacy-related documentation, and internships with leading organizations such as White & Case LLP and Doctolib, focusing on ICT, data privacy, and commercial transactions.

She began her legal career in Lebanon, working with Zein Law Firm and Michel Klimos Law Firm, advising on corporate structuring, M&A transactions, intellectual property rights, and dispute resolution.

Education

Raïssa-Maria Klimos holds a Master 2 in Electronic Commerce and Digital Economy Law from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne. She also completed her Master’s degree in Private Law and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK).

Her academic background is complemented by specialized knowledge in data protection (GDPR), cyber law, digital contracts, intellectual property, and emerging technology regulations.

Moët Hennessy is the Wines and Spirits division of the French luxury conglomerate LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), acting as a world leader in high-end wines and spirits. Formed by the 1971 merger of Moët & Chandon and Hennessy, it owns roughly 25 prestigious Maisons—including Dom Pérignon, Krug, Veuve Clicquot, and Glenmorangie—renowned for heritage and quality.
