Khaitan & Co advised VINCI Highways on acquisition of Safeway Concessions Platform
The leading law firm in India, Khaitan & Co advised VINCI Highways, a subsidiary of VINCI Concessions, in relation to the 100% acquisition of the Safeway Concessions platform by Concessoc 41 (part of VINCI Concessions) from Macquarie Asia Infrastructure Fund 2, managed by Macquarie Asset Management. The Safeway Concessions platform comprises nine toll road assets across Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, totalling nearly 700 km, along with an integrated O&M entity. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals. VINCI Highways is a leading global road concessions company, operating and maintaining highways, urban road networks, bridges, and tunnels across 3,750 km in 14 countries.
Khaitan & Co advised and assisted VINCI Highways on all legal and regulatory aspects of the transaction, including due diligence of the Target platform (covering the nine tollway concessions), transaction structuring, bid submission, and negotiating and finalizing transaction documents.
