Reed Smith Expands Riyadh Corporate Practice with Team Hire from AlAmmar Law

The global law firm Reed Smith has announced the acquisition of a leading Saudi corporate team from AlAmmar Law, including Mohammed Alammar and Anmar Algharifi as Partners, along with Norah Alqasem as an Associate in its Riyadh office. The appointments significantly enhance the firm’s corporate offering in Saudi Arabia and reflect its continued strategic investment in the Kingdom and the wider Middle East region.

Mohammed Alammar- Experience and Background

He brings over 20 years of experience advising clients across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on corporate matters, including projects and infrastructure, PPP, real estate, investment funds, and finance.

He joins Reed Smith as Partner, having previously served as Managing Partner at AlAmmar Law for nearly two decades. He has also been associated with King & Spalding as Counsel, advising on M&A, corporate, and cross-border investments, and earlier worked with Taylor Wessing and Samba Financial Group in legal advisory roles.

Mohammed Alammar holds an LLM in Telecommunication Law from the University of Strathclyde and a BA in Law from the University of Jordan.

Anmar Algharifi– Experience and Background

Anmar Algharifi also brings more than 20 years of experience, advising on public and private M&A, joint ventures, capital markets, private equity, corporate structuring, and foreign investment matters. He has also advised family investment offices on regional and global investments, governance, and compliance, and has been ranked by Chambers Global as a leading corporate/commercial lawyer in Saudi Arabia.

He joins as Partner from AlAmmar Law, where he served as Head of Corporate. Prior to this, he held leadership roles at MAS Law and Eversheds Sutherland, where he led the corporate practice in Saudi Arabia and advised on M&A, capital markets, and cross-border transactions. Earlier in his career, he worked as Legal Counsel at Zara Investment Holding Co and held roles at ITTQAN and other regional firms, building extensive experience across corporate commercial advisory and investment structuring.

Anmar Algharifi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Jordan.

She has also worked with SuhailPartners LLP and Mohamed Bin Afif Law Firm, advising on corporate, regulatory, and dispute-related matters, and has participated in international arbitration moots, securing top recognition.

He joins Reed Smith as an Associate from AlAmmar Law.
