
Khaitan & Co Successfully Represented Borosil Limited In A Trademark And Copyright Infringement Case Before The Bombay High Court
The leading law firm in India, Khaitan & Co successfully represented Borosil Limited (Plaintiff) in a suit for infringement of trademark, copyright, and passing off in relation to its registered mark and corporate name “Borosil” before the Bombay High Court.
The team was successful in obtaining an urgent ex-parte ad interim order against the Defendants, who were unauthorisedly using a mark identical or deceptively similar to Borosil’s registered mark. A Court Receiver was also appointed in the matter, who successfully carried out search and seizure of infringing products from the Defendants’ premises.
The team was also successful in securing urgent ad-interim protection for the trademarks subsisting in the client’s mark and corporate name, further strengthening Borosil’s intellectual property rights.
