Khaitan & Co successfully represented Raymond Lifestyle Limited in a trademark and copyright infringement case against ex-franchisee in Amritsar
The Leading Law firm in Inida, Khaitan & Co successfully represented Raymond Lifestyle Limited (Plaintiff) in a suit for infringement of trademark, copyright, and passing off against its former franchisees in Amritsar before the Bombay High Court.
The case involved Raymond’s well-known house mark and corporate name “Raymond”, along with its stylized artistic representations/works. The Defendants were found to be unauthorisedly using the mark “RAYMOND” in a similar stylized form as that of the Plaintiff.
The Khaitan & Co team was successful in obtaining an urgent ex-parte ad interim order against the Defendants. Furthermore, a Court Receiver was appointed and successfully carried out search and seizure of the infringing products from the Defendants’ premises.
