Before joining Bajaj Finance, he held several key legal positions in leading financial institutions and corporates, including Citi India, HDFC Bank, Centurion Bank of Punjab, and Airtel. His background reflects a deep understanding of both in-house legal management and cross-functional business operations in highly regulated sectors.
Sri Phani specialises in corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, mergers & acquisitions, regulatory compliance, competition law, dispute resolution, labour and employment, and real estate transactions. His approach combines strategic legal insight with strong business acumen, enabling efficient resolution of complex issues and the mitigation of regulatory and operational risks.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Osmania University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management (Employment Law) from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. His academic grounding in employment law and industrial relations further complements his practical expertise, equipping him to navigate complex regulatory frameworks and corporate governance matters with precision and foresight.
