The Leading Japanese law firm Anderson Mori & Tomotsune (AMT) has announced the launch of its new Malaysia Desk in Kuala Lumpur, marking a strategic step toward enhancing its local responsiveness and delivering swift, high-quality legal services to clients operating across the ASEAN region.
With Malaysia serving as the ASEAN Chair for 2025, the country is witnessing a surge in investment promotion and policy initiatives, particularly in the semiconductor and data center sectors. Akitaka Anzai (Partner and Head of AMT’s Bangkok Office), who previously worked in Malaysia, will concurrently lead the Malaysia Desk, collaborating closely with the firm’s Japan, Singapore, and overseas offices to deliver practical and locally grounded legal services.
