
AIBE XX: Registration Begins, Exam Date, Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The Bar Council of India (BCI) has officially released the notification for the All India Bar Examination – XX (AIBE XX). The registration process commenced on 29th September 2025, and the examination is scheduled to be held on 30th November 2025. The exam serves as a mandatory certification for law graduates to practice law in India.
Candidates who successfully qualify will be awarded the “Certificate of Practice” by the BCI. All interested and eligible candidates can apply for AIBE 20 on the official website. Click here for the link.
AIBE XX: Important Dates
According to the official notification released on 27th September 2025, the schedule for AIBE XX is as follows
- Online Registration Begins: September 29, 2025
- Payments through Online Mode Start: September 29, 2025
- Online Registration Closes: October 28, 2025
- Last Date for Online Payments: October 29, 2025
- Last Date for Correction in Registration Form: October 31, 2025
- Admit Card Release: November 15, 2025
- Date of Examination: November 30, 2025
Note: The passing percentage is fixed at 45% for GEN/OBC candidates and 40% for SC/ST and Disabled candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must hold a law degree (LL.B.) from a recognised institution.
- The candidate must be enrolled as an advocate with a State Bar Council.
- There is no age limit for appearing in the AIBE.
How to Apply for AIBE XX
- Log on to the official website of AIBE XIX website: www.allindiabarexamination.com.
- Click on the “Register Here” link available on the homepage. Fill in your basic details like name, mobile number, password, and email-address.
- After completing the registration, you will receive a registration number and password via email.
- Use the credentials (registration number and password) provided after registration to log in again.
- Complete the online application form by providing all necessary details.
- Proceed to pay the fee through the available online payment modes.
- Upload all the required documents in the specified format.
- After verifying all the details, click “Submit.”

Mode of Examination: Offline (Pen and Paper based)
Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Total Questions: 100
Duration: 3 Hours 30 Minutes
Marking Scheme: Each question carries 1 mark. No negative marking.
