Intra Moot Court Competitions 2025 conclude at RPNLU Prayagraj

Prayagraj, 28 September 2025 – Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University (RPNLU), Prayagraj, successfully concluded the Valedictory Session of the Conquerors’ Intra Moot Court Competition (2nd Edition) and the Grand Intra Moot Court Competition (1st Edition) on its campus. The event was a celebration of advocacy, experiential learning, and the vibrant mooting culture at the University.

Distinguished Guests and Keynote Addresses

The ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arun Kumar Singh Deshwal, Judge, Allahabad High Court, as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour included Prof. (Dr.) Kavita Solanki of USLLS, GGSIP University, New Delhi, and Mr. Tarun Agrawal, Advocate, Allahabad High Court.

In her Welcome Address, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Sr. Prof. (Dr.) Usha Tandon warmly introduced the dignitaries and praised the spirited participation of students. She reaffirmed RPNLU’s commitment to nurturing mooting as a cornerstone of legal education and professional excellence.

Delivering the Valedictory Address, Justice Deshwal congratulated participants and emphasized that while knowledge of law is crucial, true lawyers must think critically, practice empathy, and uphold integrity. He reminded students of the University’s motto of justice and urged them to let fairness and human values guide their legal careers.

Prof. (Dr.) Kavita Solanki highlighted that, moot courts prepare law students for real-world challenges and stressed that while corporate law may offer lucrative opportunities, litigation remains the backbone of advocacy.

Mr. Tarun Agrawal, in a special announcement, instituted the Ravi Kant Memorial Gold Medal in Constitutional Law, to be awarded annually in memory of his late father, Advocate Ravi Kant. He congratulated participants, noting that “there are no losers in such competitions.”

Faculty Contributions and Closing

The session also featured a presentation by Dr. Sonika, Faculty Convener of the Moot Court Society, on its recent initiatives. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Deepak Sharma, Faculty Co-convener.
