About the Workshop
The Legal Aid Clinic, National Law Institute University, Bhopal (LAC–NLIU) is proud to host a 2-Day Online Workshop on “Preventing Sexual Harassment at Home, Workplace & in Public Spaces” in collaboration with the Vidhi Vimarsh Initiative.
The workshop is designed to:
- Raise awareness about harassment in everyday life.
- Highlight legal protections under Indian laws including the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the POCSO Act.
- Provide practical strategies for reporting, prevention, and community engagement.
- Empower participants to foster safe, respectful, and inclusive environments.
Through four interactive modules, participants will explore themes of gender, power dynamics, forms of harassment, digital safety, bystander action, respect, and consent.

About the Legal Aid Clinic, NLIU
The NLIU Legal Aid Clinic (NLIU–LAC) was established on 11 April 2018 under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA). It is a student-run initiative supervised by the University’s Faculty-in-Charge, working towards ensuring access to justice for marginalized and underprivileged communities.
Guided by the spirit of Article 39A of the Constitution of India, the Clinic not only provides pro bono legal assistance but also actively promotes legal literacy, social awareness, alternative dispute resolution, and prison reformation programs. Through workshops, outreach, and community engagement, NLIU–LAC strives to make India more legally empowered and socially just.
