
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Dassault Aviation, S.A., headquartered in France, on its India expansion plans
The leading law firm in India, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) advised Dassault Aviation, S.A., headquartered in France, on its India expansion plans.
The mandate included:
- (i) The acquisition of a majority stake in Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited (DRAL). Following this transaction, DRAL will become the first Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the Falcon series outside France, including the Falcon 6X and Falcon 8X programmes.
- (ii) The establishment of a new entity in India, named Dassault Aviation MRO India Private Limited (DAMROI), to undertake maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of defence aircraft in India. With this, Dassault becomes the first major defence and aerospace player to set up a full MRO facility for fighter aircrafts in India.
