His career spans broker-dealer operations, investment banking, credit and structured products, wealth management, non-banking finance, and fixed income and currency trading, giving him a uniquely holistic perspective across the financial services value chain.
He has held senior roles with Lehman Brothers, Kotak Mahindra Goldman Sachs’ investment banking, and Edelweiss Capital, advising businesses on comprehensive regulatory risk management and governance frameworks. Nishith joins after 15+ years at Bank of America, where he was most recently Co-Head of Compliance for the Asia Pacific region and Chief Compliance Officer for India, overseeing compliance coverage across 12+ jurisdictions and leading global teams through regulatory inspections, high-stakes enforcement actions, remediation programmes, and risk transformation initiatives.
In this capacity, he has worked closely with regulators including the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and Federal Reserve Board (FRB), helping institutions navigate evolving regulatory expectations while safeguarding strategic business priorities.
