Ester Chow Joins Simmons & Simmons as Partner in Hong Kong Financial Markets Practice
International law firm Simmons & Simmons has strengthened its Hong Kong financial markets practice with the addition of Ester Chow as Partner from Mayer Brown, where she was a Counsel.
Chow brings over 13 years of experience in banking and finance, having previously worked at Morgan Lewis & Bockius, White & Case, and the legacy Allen & Overy. She specialises in complex lending structures, including private credit lending and fund finance, with extensive expertise in cross-border financings, subscription lines, NAV facilities, LP financing, and acquisition finance.
“Ester’s outstanding reputation in private credit and fund finance in Asia, combined with her impressive client roster and exceptional relationships, will significantly enhance our lender-focused finance offering in Hong Kong and across APAC,” said Jonathan Hammond, Asia Regional Head and Partner in Simmons & Simmons’ Financial Markets Group, in a statement.
The Hong Kong office of Simmons & Simmons now comprises 39 lawyers, including 13 partners. This expansion follows the addition of Karen Lam, Head of Securitisation and Derivatives, who joined earlier this year from Linklaters.
