The leading Indian law firm Khaitan & Co acted for and advised Ashwin Sheth Group in carrying out title due diligence in relation to their acquisition of development rights from MHADA in respect of land admeasuring 4.05 acres in Goregaon West.
This project forms part of the redevelopment of Patra Chawl, located in the Siddharth Nagar area of Goregaon, Mumbai.
The Khaitan & Co team comprising Amit H Wadhwani (Partner), Rahul Agarwal (Principal Associate), and Sanket Wakshe (Associate), with assistance from Rajeev Vidhani (Partner) and Ashwij Ramaiah (Principal Associate), advised the client with respect to potential risks emanating from development rights previously granted to the erstwhile developer, mortgages created by the erstwhile developer, termination of rights of the erstwhile developer by MHADA, claims of allottees, as well as key compliances to be made based on the tender issued by MHADA.
