Courtney Logli Rejoins Clyde & Co as Partner in Chicago

The global law firm Clyde & Co Partner Courtney Logli, based in the firm’s Chicago office, re-joined the firm at the height of the pandemic after a brief pause in her tenure to relocate to Rochester, Minnesota, while her husband completed his residency at Mayo Clinic. Upon returning, she recalls feeling an immediate sense of familiarity and support, with colleagues warmly embracing her new role as a working mother.

Courtney’s practice spans a wide array of coverage litigation, with a particular focus on long-tail environmental claims under GL policies, as well as claims under first-party property, recall, and contamination policies. She has spent recent years managing complex, high-exposure matters for one of the firm’s largest clients and is now increasingly involved in handling ethylene oxide (EtO)-related coverage litigation, which is on the rise in Illinois. Additionally, she has played a key role in expanding the Chicago office’s recall and contamination coverage practice, which she aims to continue developing as a partner.

Her contributions to the firm extend beyond client work. She has served as pro bono chair, been actively engaged in Chicago’s recruitment efforts, and recently participated in the inaugural North American Next Generation London Market Initiative — a program that enhanced her business development skills and fostered valuable connections within the firm and the London market.

Courtney credits her mentors and now fellow partners for their guidance throughout the partnership process, noting their willingness to dedicate valuable time despite their demanding schedules. “I simply could not have done it without their guidance, which has continued to help me navigate the ins and outs of partnership,” she says.

Outside of work, Courtney and her husband are busy parents to their 6- and 4-year-old children, balancing professional and family life. The family enjoys dining out, attending local activities, and spending time with their extended family, all of whom live nearby.

For Courtney, Clyde & Co has provided the flexibility and trust needed to achieve professional success while remaining fully engaged in her family life. “Working at Clyde & Co has represented a balance between achieving career and personal success,” she reflects. “I have been able to accomplish partnership while parenting and being actively involved with my children due in large part to the support I’ve experienced here.”
