Trilegal Advised Mahindra Lifespace on INR 15 Billion Rights Issue Under SEBI’s New Framework
Trilegal represented Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited, a leading pan‑India real estate developer within the Mahindra Group, in its INR 15,000 million rights issue of equity shares. The proceeds are earmarked for debt repayment.
This initiative was among the first rights issues launched following SEBI’s updated rights issue regulations, marking it as a landmark transaction in India’s capital markets. The deal required Trilegal to navigate the entirely revised compliance framework, setting important industry precedents in the process.
The Trilegal transaction was led by Richa Choudhary (Partner), with support from counsels Avanti Kale and Maitreya Rajurkar, senior associates Sanya Chaudhari, Aayush Khandelwal, and Shivayana Balodia, and associates Siddhant Mishra, Kartikeya Anshu, and Yatin Shikarpuri.
