Mihir Rale Joins Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as Partner and Co-Head of Digital | TMT Practice
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has announced the appointment of Mihir Rale as a Partner (Co-Head – Digital | TMT) in its Digital+ Practice. He will be based in the firm’s Mumbai office.
Mihir brings with him over 23 years of rich experience across mergers & acquisitions, legal strategy, corporate governance, regulation & policy, and compliance matters, with a focus on the technology, data, telecommunications, and traditional sectors. Prior to joining the firm, he served as General Counsel for Star and Disney India, where he completed a 15-year tenure in 2024. Throughout his career, he has played a leading role in shaping the legal landscape at the intersection of technology, regulation, competition, and intellectual property.
A graduate of ILS Law College, Pune (Class of 2002), Mihir has served as the Co-chair of the FICCI IPR Committee, Co-chair of the CII Digital Media Committee, and has been actively involved with the FICCI M&E Committee and CII National Regulatory Committee.
CAM’s Digital+ Practice offers holistic, business-focused, and strategic legal advice across policy, emerging regulation, transactions, disputes, and governance to leading Indian and global digital businesses across Big-Tech, Media & Entertainment, E-commerce, Gaming, Telecom, SaaS, IT/ITeS, AI, Ed Tech, Health Tech, Reg Tech, Drones, Quantum Computing, and other emerging sectors. In addition to Mihir Rale and Arun Prabhu as Co-Heads, the Digital+ Practice comprises five more specialist partners and a team of 30 lawyers across Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore.
