
Freshfields Promotes Rohit Bhat to Partner in Singapore Office
Global law firm Freshfields has announced the promotion of Rohit Bhat to Partner, effective May 1, 2025. A seasoned disputes lawyer, Bhat specialises in complex commercial and investor-state arbitrations, high-profile investigations, and cross-border litigation across the Indo-Pacific region.
Bhat has been with Freshfields since 2018 and is based in the firm’s Singapore office. He also advises on complex regulatory matters, particularly within the technology sector. Before joining Freshfields, he practised at the independent bar in India and worked with the Office of the Attorney General for India.

Rohit Bhat graduated from Bangalore University in 2009, earned his MBL from National Law School of India University (NLSIU), and completed his LL.M. at Harvard Law School in 2017. He is qualified to practise in India, New York, and England & Wales.
