J Sagar Associates (JSA) retained partner Sujoy Bhatia has moved to Chandhiok & Mahajan as a partner and to head up its corporate practice, as first reported by Bar & Bench.
Bhatia confirmed his joining, and commented: “C&M has, in the past 12 months, hired several experienced attorneys across practice areas and offices.
“I look forward to working with each of them and my exceptional partners to further strengthen C&M’s commitment to quality. In these uncertain times, our clients will demand that we respond to dynamic situations with well-considered and innovative advise.
“The post Covid world will look very different and our clients will expect nothing less.”
Chandhiok & Mahajan’s corporate practice now has three partners, including Bhatia – Pooja Mahajan and Kaushalya Venkataraman – as well as seven associates across offices.
The firm had rebranded in 2018 from Chandhiok & Associates to Chandhiok & Mahajan, while expanding its partnership.
He is the third salaried partner reported this week to have left JSA:
